Lucas Chess is a chess program where you can play chess while training your chess skill. You can practice a particular opening using the training mode. When playing in normal mode or competitive mode, the level always starts from level 1, no other levels are available. The level will increase to higher level only if you can win one game as white and one as black, then you'll be promoted automatically by the system.
Amazingly, Lucas Chess provides a tutor feature which can show a suggested move after you make a weak move. You should learn from that to improve your skill. In training mode, you have more nice training choices such as find best moves, learn openings by repetition, learn tactics by repetition, determine your calculating power, play like a grandmaster, and so on. Over all, Lucas Chess is a good chess game that you must have for fun and for serious chess training.
